The Dozens

The Dozens released their long-awaited debut EP on January 6, 2015. The EP features five new songs produced by veteran Muscle Shoals producer Jimmy Nutt. Almost a year in the making, the release was inspired by the three historical musical regions of the south: Memphis, Macon and Muscle Shoals. Each place contributed heavily to the American musical lexicon throughout the 1960’s and ‘70s. Taking the best elements from each region- soulful vocals, twin guitars, and heavy R&B grooves, the band have crafted a modern twist on a timeless era in American music. All songs were recorded live as a band just like the great records from the past using real amps, vintage drums, and authentic Hammond B3 organs. Mastered by Rodney Mills (Allman Brothers, Pearl Jam, Zac Brown Band), the EP is available for purchase digitally through all major outlets including iTunes and Amazon as well as streaming service Spotify. A limited edition CD is available through the Paypal link on the home page and at venues during live performances.
