“Halden Vang” is the power trio group formed and led by 17-year-old guitarist, singer/songwriter, Jake Haldenwang, with Phillip Arrowood on bass and Sebastian Oropeza on drums. “Halden Vang” is poised to set the music world on fire with an original sound that can only be described as intense, soulful and fiery. Jake is a ground breaking artist and a must see act that delivers a fused blend of scorchin’ rock, blues, pop & funk in a fresh new style that is uniquely all his own. Cut in the mold of such influential bands and artists as; Foo Fighters, Rival Sons, Black Crowes, Humble Pie, Needtobreathe, Gavin Degraw, Myles Kennedy, John Mayer, Steve Marriott, Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, SRV, Rory Gallagher, Warren Haynes and Albert Collins. “Halden Vang’s” stock in trade is his undeniable stage presence and unique musicianship. At age 16, Jake was nominated & awarded "Artist of the Year" by Queen City Awards. His band was also nominated for 2011 "Band of the Year" by the Charlotte Music Awards. Additionally, Jake attended the 2011 Winter NAMM Show by Artist Invitation from Fender Guitars. Jake was also invited to perform as a guest artist at Capricorn Records Friends & Family reunion and he is a proud member of Robert M. Knight's, "Brotherhood of the Guitar."
A veteran musician, by age 16, Jake had performed at hundreds of club, theater and festival dates and had already shared show billing with notable music greats; Warren Haynes, Greg Allman, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, Kevn Kinney & Drivin N’ Cryin, Steve Miller, Leon Russell, Elvin Bishop, Trombone Shorty Moreland & Arbuckle, Tommy Castro, Tom Hambridge & Webb Wilder. Jake has also appeared as a guest guitarist with Umphreys McGee, Buddy Guy, Marshall Tucker, Chris Hicks, Walter Trout, Tommy Castro, Robin Rogers, Bryan Lee and Dave Fields. By age 14 he had written thirteen original songs, to include; “Tell the Truth”, written in collaboration with Producer, Gary Vincent, of Morgan Freeman’s, Ground Zero Music Company. “Tell The Truth” became the title track of Jake’s first studio CD, which was self produced and released in March 2010, before his 15th birthday.

Jake began his career playing guitar at age 11, was performing live by age 12 and by age 13, he was fronting his own band. He delivered performances with amazing searing guitar solos and intense soulful vocals that belied his youth that is rarely witnessed in someone so young. In February 2009, at age 13, Jake was chosen to represent Charlotte NC at International Blues Challenge and he has been mesmerizing audiences ever since. Jake’s astounding performances and rising popularity, has established him as a sought after artist, whose star continues to grow and shine brightly.
